Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or equivalent.
  • Preferable from IBA(DU) / NSU / IUB / Brac / BUTEX / BUFT etc.
Experience
  • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Garments, Textile
Additional Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in high-level merchandising, account management, or buying within the apparel/textile industry.

  • Proven track record of handling key clients and large orders.

    Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation, strategic planning, and leadership skills.

  • Strong understanding of costing, capacity planning, market analysis, and profitability management.

  • Proficiency in ERP, advanced MS Office, and analytical tools.


Responsibilities & Context

  • Understand sales targets and share capacity plans with customers to ensure alignment with sales requirements.

  • Prepare costing sheets to finalize product prices with clients, ensuring desired profit margins.

  • Communicate and negotiate product prices with clients to confirm order details and secure agreements.

  • Obtain final order confirmations from clients, including FOB terms and shipment dates within capacity constraints.

  • Propose new products or materials to clients to develop a diverse and attractive product range.

  • Conduct meetings with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to align project goals and resolve issues.

  • Track production and shipment progress to ensure timely delivery.

  • Prepare reports on order status, issues, and shipment updates to keep management informed.

  • Maintain daily communication with clients regarding order issues, updates, and negotiations.

  • Identify new market opportunities and analyze current trends to develop growth strategies.

  • Resolve client-related issues promptly, coordinating with relevant teams.

  • Develop seasonal yarn demand forecasts to support production planning.

  • Review and monitor ERP system cost budgets to ensure expenses stay within limits.
