Relevant certifications in Project Management (PMP), Quantity Surveying (MRICS), will be preferred.
At least fourteen (14) years of experience in project management activities, project contract administration, procurement, communication, and contract writing skills.
Minimum 7 years' experience in commercial management, preferably with FIDIC-based contracts.
Prior work experience with large Chinese SOEs or Bangladeshi government entities such as RWASA is highly preferred.
Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Experience in managing local construction contract terms and resolving contractual issues.
Familiarity with project scheduling and planning tools, coordinate with the planning and engineering departments on progress schedule alignment. (e.g., MS Project, Primavera p6).
Prepare and manage contractual notices and correspondence in accordance with FIDIC and project requirements, ensuring timely submission and thorough documentation to protect entitlements and avoid disputes.
Monitor and ensure timely communication of land acquisition, Right of Way (ROW), and others that are obstacles to our progress with the Employer.
Oversee the resolution of issues related to project progress, working closely with subcontractors to confront on-site challenges quickly and efficiently.
Assess and document exceptional events (e.g., political unrest, natural disasters such as those caused by an Act of God) and their impact on project timelines.
Assist in resolving insurance and import permit issues, and strive to minimize demurrage costs while ensuring compliance with import rules.
Assist team members on subcontract drafting, partner agreements, and cost estimation.
Ensure clear and thorough documentation to support future dispute referrals, including preparation for DAB (Dispute Adjudication Board) proceedings when necessary.
