Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
Experience
  • At least 1 year
Additional Requirements
  • Age 22 to 40 years
  • Female candidates will be preferred
  • Having the experience to work in the Rohingya Context with the health sector will be preferable
  • Good command of the Chittagonian/ Rohingya language gets preference.
  • Ability to communicate in the Rohingya language (spoken Chittagong dialect)
  • Ability to cope with stress working in a camp environment.
  • Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
  • Cultural awareness/ sensitivity and empathy to the target population

Responsibilities & Context

GK was created in 1972 with two visions. Firstly, "the fate of the poor decides the fate of the country". Secondly, the "development of the country depends on the development of women". Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and Multiple Donors have entered in a partnership to respond to the Rohingya crisis in Cox Bazar & Bhasanchar.

Job Location: Teknaf/ Ukhiya/ Bhasanchar

  • Responsible for ensuring CFM mechanisms are in the nutrition sites to strengthen the quality and accountability of the Nutrition program, especially in regards to information sharing, participation of the beneficiaries, complaints and response mechanisms

  • Ensuring that CFM systems are always functional at the facility level & making sure beneficiaries understand that their privacy is well-reserved

  • Guide beneficiaries who seek help (information, assistance, or feedback).

  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all informational resources related to feedback and complaints from beneficiaries

  • Receiving complaints and feedback and responding to inquiries of the beneficiaries or others at the complaint desk in the Integrated Nutrition facility

  • Writing the complaint on behalf of the participant at the facility or HH level, maintaining confidentiality

  • Ensuring that accountability to the affected population is understood and implemented.

  • Maintaining an effective record and filing system for all complaints solved and pending issues, including correspondence.

  • Clearly communicate the outcome of the action with the beneficiaries and communities when applicable, including follow-up/response with beneficiaries

  • Providing technical advice and support to the participants through the Helpdesk

  • Maintaining the beneficiaries database of the nutrition center to ensure entitlement accountability

  • Liaise with local authorities, community leaders, or other stakeholders to support the resolution of complaints.

Special Note:

Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the Nutrition Site Supervisor of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;

Management may, at any point of time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshastha Kendra's interests in consultation with the incumbent.
