Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred.
Specialized training in Japanese cuisine is an added advantage
2 years of experience in Japanese or Asian cuisine
Experience in a reputed restaurant or hotel will be considered a plus
Knowledge of Japanese ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles
Ability to work in a team under pressure
Strong communication and time management skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Gulshan Club Limited is looking for a passionate and skilled Assistant Chef (Japanese Cuisine) to join its Food & Beverage Department. The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing authentic Japanese dishes and be capable of working in a high-standard kitchen environment, supporting the Head Chef in delivering excellent culinary experiences to club members.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, ramen, teriyaki, tempura, and other traditional items
Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control as per club standards
Follow hygiene and food safety practices strictly
Prepare mise en place and assist during service hours
Support kitchen inventory management and proper storage of ingredients
Work closely with the culinary team to ensure timely and quality food preparation
Learn and adapt new techniques in Japanese cuisine as guided by senior chefs
