Requirements

Education

Minimum graduate from a reputed university with no third class/division, or CGPA below 2.0 in any level of education.

Experience
  • At least 20 years
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in a commercial banking environment. A proven track record in Credit Risk Management for 10 years is preferred.

  • Mastery in Banking Principles and Lending Products, Credit Policy & Assessment Norms, Compliance and Fraud Prevention, Portfolio Monitoring & Analysis and Market & Intelligence.

  • Clear understanding of Bangladesh Bank’s credit policies and circulars as well as strong knowledge of industry’s best practices.

  • Strong understanding of data analytics and risk modelling.

  • Ability to lead a dynamic team independently and keen to develop others.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams.

BRAC Bank seeks an ambitious, intelligent, purpose-driven, and enthusiastic individual for the following position in its Risk Management Division:

Grade: Senior Executive Vice president

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of the Bank’s business strategy.

  • Implement long and short-term plans of the Bank in accordance with the Board’s strategy.

  • Oversee Retail Underwriting, SME and Wholesale Banking Underwriting team.

  • Manage the portfolio quality through the lifecycle of the loans, reviewing and monitoring performance of assets under management as well as ensure credit portfolio health.

  • Ensure process improvements initiatives and drive operational efficiencies across segments e.g. decreasing TAT and develop score card-based credit system.

  • Develop succession planning for critical roles for aligning business prerogatives and build and nurture innovative talent capability framework as a competitive differentiator with help from the HR team.

  • Possess up-to-date market and competitor knowledge with an ability to identify market opportunities and able to work closely with cross functional teams such as Audit, Legal, Operations, Compliance, IT etc.

  • Ability to identify the associated risks, formulate risk mitigation process, deploy effective internal control mechanisms, and ensure regulatory compliance & fraud prevention.
