Conduct a fall-in of Firemen, Supervisors, and Inspectors before each shift and brief the team on duty protocols, dos and don’ts, fire equipment checks, discipline, and standard fire response procedures.
Collect and review all duty reports from Fire Supervisors and Inspectors and resolve issues accordingly.
Carry out daily inspections of the market and tower areas to identify fire risks or hazards and ensure all firefighting equipment is present and operational.
Continuously monitor and supervise the activities and performance of Firemen, Supervisors, and Inspectors during the shift to ensure effective coverage and operational readiness.
Plan and coordinate regular fire safety training, emergency evacuation drills, and rescue operations for shop owners and employees within the shopping mall.
Lead firefighting operations in the event of a fire incident and collaborate with subordinates to extinguish the fire and promptly inform the reporting supervisor.
Seek assistance from external fire services as and when needed.
Ensure ongoing training for fire staff on equipment use, fire suppression, evacuation, rescue operations, and first aid to maintain high competency levels within the team.
Implement and monitor fire safety systems (hydrants, sprinklers, fire doors) and ensure compliance with FS&CD, BNBC, BLR, NFPA, RSC guidelines, and inspect for electrical fire risks, including FRLS compliance and heat-generating light sources.
Preparing different kinds of related reports, i.e., expiry report of firefighting apparatus, damage report, etc, to the reporting supervisor.
