Age 40 to 50 years
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in the dyeing industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or General Manager role within a large-scale dyeing or integrated textile factory in Bangladesh.
Proven track record of successfully managing dyeing operations, improving efficiency, and achieving production targets in a Bangladeshi manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills & Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of dyeing processes: Comprehensive understanding of various dyeing techniques (e.g., reactive, disperse, direct, vat dyeing), machinery (e.g., jet dyeing, jiggers, stenters), and finishing processes.
Chemical & Dye Expertise: Strong knowledge of textile dyes, chemicals, auxiliaries, and their properties, safe handling, and storage practices.
Color Matching & Recipe Management: Proficient in color matching, lab dip development, and managing dyeing recipes to achieve consistent shades and meet client requirements.
Quality Control Standards: Expertise in implementing and maintaining quality control systems for dyed fabrics, including color fastness, shrinkage, shade variation, and other relevant parameters.
Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Operation: Mandatory in-depth knowledge and practical experience in managing and optimizing Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) as per Bangladesh Environmental Conservation Rules (ECR 2023) and other relevant environmental regulations. Understanding of parameters like COD, BOD, color, temperature, pH, and heavy metal limits for wastewater discharge.
Energy Efficiency: Knowledge of energy-saving practices and technologies applicable to dyeing operations (e.g., heat recovery, optimized machinery usage).
Textile Act 2018 & Related Laws: Familiarity with the Textile Act 2018 and other relevant Bangladeshi industrial laws, labor laws, and trade regulations.
Management & Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a large workforce, including supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and execute business strategies tailored to the competitive Bangladeshi dyeing market.
Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve profitability targets (P&L responsibility).
Problem-solving & Decision-making: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges and make informed decisions under pressure.
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities for dealing with suppliers, buyers, and local authorities.
Compliance & Certifications: Environmental Compliance: Demonstrated experience in ensuring strict adherence to environmental regulations of Bangladesh, particularly concerning wastewater discharge limits (ECR 2023) and air pollution control. Experience with environmental audits.
Health & Safety (HSE) Compliance: Thorough understanding and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 and related rules. Experience in implementing factory safety committees, fire safety, and emergency preparedness.
International Quality Certifications: Proven experience in managing and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems).
Experience with ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems).
Experience with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification requirements and processes, ensuring products are free from harmful substances as required by international buyers.
Knowledge of other relevant certifications such as Step by OEKO-TEX (Sustainable Textile Production) and ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) guidelines is highly desirable.
Factory Licensing and Approvals: Understanding of the various licenses and approvals required for operating a dyeing factory in Bangladesh (e.g., Department of Environment (DoE) clearance, fire license, trade license, BTMA certificate).

Specialization in textile dyeing, wet processing, or textile chemistry will be a significant advantage.

Good leadership ability to lead & motivate the subordinates.
Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame.
