Requirements

Education
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
  • Partly qualified CA/ CMA/ ACCA will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
  • At least 8 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Manufacturing (FMCG), Retail Store, Textile, Group of Companies, Boutique/ Fashion
Additional Requirements
  • Age at least 35 years
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing organization (Retail business experience preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge in dealer/distributor accounting, incentive adjustments, credit management, and receivables control.
  • Solid understanding of VAT, Tax rules and compliance as per NBR.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar will be a plus).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The Manager – Accounts will oversee the entire accounting function of the retail business of Hoor Couture Ltd. ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or apparel accounting, inventory management, taxation, and financial reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper accounting procedures across all retail outlets.

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including ledger entries, journal postings, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

  • Coordinate with store managers and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and inventory valuations.

  • Implement controls for shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage.

  • Reconcile physical stock with accounting records.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, TDS, and other statutory taxes.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and statutory bodies.

  • Stay updated with changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.

  • Prepare MIS reports, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.

  • Forecast budgets, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions.
