Experience

  • Having a good understanding on preparing budget, budget analysis for budget controlling.
  • At least 2-3 years working experience in relevant position and experience with any development organizations.
  • To have good computer knowledge on– Accounting Software- such as Tally, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using internet as well as typing both Bengali and English.
  • To have a good understanding of Government/NBR rules regarding TAX and VAT.
  • Able to carry out Book Keeping, monthly and quarterly report making using computerized accounting software.
  • To have good interpersonal skills and are able to maintain liaison and coordinate with head Office, Government, NGOs and donors in need.
  • Able to provide monitoring and follow-up on project financial transaction and documentation.
  • To have good facilitation and presentation skills specially for arranging training/workshops for project staff on financial issues.
  • To have Positive attitude, proactive and creative character.
  • Able to work in team and have coordination skills.
  • To have good Communication skills (written and verbal) in Bengali and English.
  • Able to ride Motor cycle and have valid driving license.
  • Able to preparation of FD-6.

Job Context

Project Name: SAY - SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights).

PARI Development Trust is a national NGO registered with NGOAB working in greater Mymensingh. PARI implements community development, maternal & child health, nutrition, food Security livelihood, agriculture and child rights program in several Upazilas of Mymensingh, Tangail, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Netrokona and Sunamganj districts. PARI is going to implement a 5 years' period "SAY SRHR” Project from 1st July 2025 to 30th June 2030. This project focuses on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for adolescent and youth girls in selected locations that are rural with high rates of multi-dimensional poverty and deeply entrenched harmful traditional practices (HTPs) that perpetuate inequality and limit to access to the SRHR services. For the well-being of their family and community and thus transform their lives as a long-term impact in Kalmakanda upazila under Netrokona district.

The project seeks a contractual Project Accountant (PA) to manage the project financial activities and drive to achieve the expected results through effective management and implementation of the program activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • To perform professional level work in the maintenance, analysis, interpretation and management of financial accounting data as per donor and Govt. requirement.
  • This includes the preparation and posting of various journals, ledgers and accounts, analysis and presentation of financial data, and preparation of financial statements and expenditure reports, review and approval of various vouchers and invoices for payment, analyzing budget requirements and controls, preparing payroll data, allocation of funds to various accounts or functions, and other similar activities.
  • To ensure overall financial records, transparency and that all responsibilities are carried out efficiently and according to the organization's rules and regulations.
