Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor/Honors
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
  • At least 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO
Additional Requirements
  • Age at most 40 years
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project implementation, preferably with youth or entrepreneurship programs.

  • Strong organizational and field coordination skills.

  • Basic understanding of entrepreneurship and climate-related issues.

  • Good communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

  • Willingness to work at the grassroots level and travel regularly.

Note: Appointment for this position is contingent upon the approval and funding of the Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project.

About the Project:

WAVE Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1990, has been implementing multifaceted activities for the socio economic development of the poor and marginalized as well as the establishment of universal human rights and good governance. Besides, the organization is conducting issue based policy advocacy and campaigns. WAVE is driven by its motto 'Together for Better Life’ towards the vision of establishing 'A just and Prosperous society’. WAVE has organized its activities into 6 programmes: 1) Poverty Eradication and Livelihood Development 2) Community Financing and Entrepreneurship Development 3) Agri-Food System Transformation 4) Governance, Rights and Justice 5) Social Development and Youth Empowerment 6) Climate Justice and Renewable Energy Promotion. WAVE’s Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project aims to empower young people in Bangladesh as leaders in their communities to identify innovative, sustainable solutions to local and global. It focuses on increasing youth engagement, voice, agency and participation in policy development in Bangladesh and to continue to develop future change-makers with a global perspective.

Key Responsibilities:·     

  • Support the Project Coordinator in the day-to-day execution of all project activities.

  • Coordinate outreach events, youth mobilization efforts, and communication initiatives in the field.

  • Assist in organizing training batches, mentorship sessions, bootcamps, pitch days, and community events.

  • Maintain regular coordination with facilitators, mentors, youth participants, and local stakeholders.

  • Collect, compile, and maintain project documents including attendance sheets, reports, and feedback.

  • Conduct field visits and assist in monitoring, evaluation, and success story documentation.

  • Organize and support community-based events and meetings with stakeholders.

  • Support the implementation of the project’s digital outreach and communication strategy.

  • Assist in creating and managing social media content, photo documentation, and basic visuals.

  • Ensure youth participation is inclusive, gender-equitable, and aligned with safeguarding standards.


Compensation & Other Benefits

BDT 26,000/month (consolidated); travel allowance and other benefits will be provided as per project provisions
