Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CC preferred)

Experience
  • 4 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency
Additional Requirements
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in NGO or donor-funded projects

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, ERP)

  • Knowledge of advanced Excel tools including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, macros/VBA, and dashboards.

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, fund management, and financial reporting

  • Familiar with VAT, tax laws, and donor compliance (e.g., EU, USAID, GIZ, UN)

  • Experienced in bank reconciliations, audits, and documentation

  • Knowledge of NGO Bureau procedures and regulatory compliance

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Willing to travel to field/project locations

  • High integrity and professional ethics

Preferred Job Description/Responsibility:

  • Maintain organizational and project accounts (cash book, bank book, ledgers)

  • Handle cash, bank transactions, and reconciliations

  • Prepare vouchers, requisitions, bills, and slips

  • Manage accounts using manual systems and accounting software

  • Support financial and fund management, including budgeting and forecasting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and internal financial policies

  • Verify financial documents and transactions as per organizational rules

  • Conduct internal audits and asset verifications

  • Reconcile subsidiary and general ledgers

  • Communicate with NGO Bureau and external auditors

  • Prepare financial reports for donors (half-yearly and annually)

  • Visit project sites to monitor financial and program activities

  • Participate in periodic meetings and perform tasks assigned by management
