Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) (Must have valid BMDC registration) MBBS recognized by BMDC.

  • Candidate having Part-1/Phase-A in FCPS/MRCS & MS in Surgery will get preference.

  • Must have minimum 3 years' experience in relevant subject.

Experience
  • At least 3 years

Responsibilities & Context

  • Responsible to implement total clinical activities of the hospital / department under a Specialist/Registrar.

  • To supervise the patient scheduling, medical records and data entry Service delivery through good relations with patients, respect for the patient's right, good relations with colleagues; and observance of professional ethical obligations.

  • Take daily rounds of the surgical patients in the wards and assess them for treatment as deemed fit by his / her consultant and review them regularly.

  • He/ she is to complete the In-Patient rounds everyday before, and fill the case sheets and progress notes & all the necessary documents in specific chart of medical record without fail.

  • An adequate assessment of the patient's condition, based on the history and physical examination.

  • To provide for appropriate investigations and appropriate treatment and to keep clear, accurate, medical records about the relevant clinical findings.

  • Assist in surgery with the consultant and Specialist / registrar in surgical procedures in OT and document in medical record.

  • Shall be doing minor procedures such as NG tube insertion and dressing under guidance of registrar.

  • During On call duties shall do minor procedures under local anesthesia such as Nail avulsion, abscess drainage, minor stitching under the guidance of Specialist/Registrar.

  • Assist surgical consultants in the day-to-day management of patients.

  • Preparation of discharge summaries well in time and briefing the patient about the medications on discharge.

  • To do on-Call duties to attend to surgical patients received through emergency and assist in their management as advised by the consultant surgeon.
