Job Description

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • BBA/MBA in Finance or Accounting from a reputed university.
Additional Requirements
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge on Accounting, Finance, Auditing, and Customs Area.
  • Good knowledge about VAT & Tax Act. & Rules.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Specially, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, ERP & VAT Software.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Prepare sub-forms for sales, purchases, bills of export, and any adjustment postings (Mushak-9.1) through the Integrated VAT Administration System (IVAS).

  • Calculate and analyze corporate and individual tax, maintain relevant tax return documents, and ensure timely updates for accurate record-keeping.

  • Assist the procurement and payable teams in verifying VAT challans and applicable VAT & Tax percentages (Mushak-6.3 and related documents) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure timely deposit of Tax and VAT deductions to the government treasury and issue Mushak-6.6 certificates to suppliers/vendors on a monthly basis.

  • Implement new software and assist the IT team in developing an ERP system by preparing BRDs and related documents, ensuring compliance with the VAT & SD Act 2012 and the IT Act 2023.

  • Calculate and Analyze FS ledgers with VAT ERP and accounting records to prepare and maintain documents for VAT audits.

  • Prepare and submit TDS report regarding tax section for withholding tax return.

  • Attend hearings, respond to queries, and coordinate approvals with NBR authorities.

  • Prepare presentations (PPTs) to interpret government SROs and facilitate training sessions for central VAT units, stakeholders, suppliers, producers, and relevant departments.

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise in safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
