Requirements

Education
  • Diploma, Bachelor/Honors
  • Diploma / B.Sc. in Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, or relevant field.
Experience
  • 2 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Additional Requirements
  • The candidate must have experience in broiler farm supervision or technical poultry service.

  • Practical Knowledge of broiler management, poultry health, and nutrition.

  • Strong field supervision and technical advisory skills.

  • Knowledge of poultry disease prevention and farm hygiene.

  • Good communication and farmer engagement ability.

  • Report writing and basic computer proficiency.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural field areas.


Responsibilities & Context

  • Contract Broiler Farming is responsible for providing technical support, farm monitoring, and performance improvement across contract broiler farms. The role ensures that contracted farms follow standard poultry management practices to achieve optimum bird health, growth, and feed conversion. The officer acts as the key liaison between the company and contract farmers to maintain production efficiency and biosecurity compliance.
  • Farm Supervision & Monitoring: Regularly visit contract farms to assess bird health, flock performance, and farm conditions. Ensure proper management of brooding, ventilation, lighting, water, and feeding systems. Detect and correct issues affecting weight gain, mortality, and feed conversion ratio (FCR).
  • Technical Support: Guide farmers on broiler care, health, and biosecurity; train staff; and assist during chick placement, vaccination, and harvest.
  • Health & Biosecurity Management: Monitor bird health, enforce biosecurity protocols, coordinate disease control, and respond quickly to outbreaks or unusual mortality.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Maintain farm-wise records of bird performance, medication, mortality, and feed consumption.Submit daily/weekly reports on farm status, performance trends, and any technical issues.Assist in evaluating farmer performance and recommending corrective actions.
  • Farmer Coordination & Communication: Serve as the main contact for farmers, ensure timely supply of chicks, feed, and medicine, and address concerns to maintain strong support and relationships
