We are looking for an enthusiastic Tender Graphics Manager to join our team at BAM, one of the UK’s major infrastructure contractors.
Our Graphics team creates high-quality templates and bespoke tender graphics for major infrastructure bids. As Tender Graphics Manager, you will lead and develop team members, manage resource scheduling, and ensure that our bid tender graphics are completed on time and to the right quality. We operate in a very competitive environment, and you will always be looking for ways to improve how we work and the graphics we produce.
You will also be responsible for your own tender graphics workload, creating templates and bespoke tender graphics for major bids. This will involve collaborating with bid teams across our business to identify what graphics are needed and suggest original presentation ideas that align with our branding.

Making Possible
- Lead the Graphics team to produce high-quality work-winning graphics for major infrastructure bids that align with our branding
- Line manage and allocate design resources, ensuring that all graphics work is delivered to the right quality and the strict deadlines set by bid teams
- Manage quality control checks of graphics work
- Assess the capability of external design houses and freelance designers that may be needed to support peak workload
- Maintain a reference library of graphics and templates
- Provide line management support, mentoring and coaching to team members
- Set the team’s direction to ensure continuing capacity and capability to meet business needs
- Attend bid start up meetings and conduct research to understand the client, the opportunity and the views of bid contributors
- Agree the brief for graphics work with the Bid Manager and Proposals Manager
- Create response templates and designs that align with our branding and client presentation
- Guide bid teams to translate their ideas into creative tender graphics that convoy complex ideas
- Format bid responses to a high quality and support final format and bid upload
- Design bid presentations and other documents as needed
- Lead post-bid reviews of graphics performance and manage continual improvement initiatives
- Coach the Graphics team and bids teams on current trends in design, presentation and software
- Provide graphic design for other (non-bid) work if your bid workload allows
- Carry out other additional duties from time to time as required
What do you bring to the role?
- A degree / HND or other formal qualification in graphic design is desirable.
- A strong people manager, you will bring excellent communication and collaboration skills, technical expertise and a creative mindset, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling visual content.
- Expert user of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Video editing and motion graphics skills using Premiere Pro and / or After Effects would be an advantage.
- The role requires an experienced graphic designer who can demonstrate the ability to lead a small team through a complex programme of graphics work.
- You will ensure that the Graphics team delivers high-quality work to strict bid deadlines.
