At least 1 year of experience in similar position(s)Recognized EPI vaccinator by the MoH.
Experience in management of health facilities and staff, including previous experience supervising and mentoring other health staff.
Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health representatives.
Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counseling.
Required to be team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying patience, compassion and diplomacy.
Required to be able to and willing to assist with carrying patients on stretchers and carrying equipment.
Ability to be innovative, flexible, adaptive, and willing to work in potentially stressful and challenging environments.
Ability to live in challenging conditions.
Community paramedic is preferable
Good communication and concise report-writing skills in English
Specific Educational Qualification
Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery or Diploma in Medical Assistant or equivalent medical training with relevant experience.

Purpose of the Role
The vaccinator will implement and take charge of immunization activities in the PHCC and outreach and will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality EPI services to the local catchment populations. The vaccinator together with the PHCC team will contribute to improving the IRC’s existing health programs in the camps.

Highlights of Key Responsibilities
Management of all phases of the cold chain, including products in transit, in process, in storage, and in display.
Provide vaccines to patients and clients as needed and scheduled by the MoH vaccination calendar.
Vaccination campaign with MoH/WHO and vaccinators.
Keep cold chain as per WHO /MoH standards.
Manage EPI equipment - ensure that fridge is protected from dust.
Monitor the vaccine in the fridge and outside the fridge.
Bi-daily temperature monitoring.
Daily/Weekly report to be sent on time.
Make requisition for vaccines and vaccine supplements.
